Quality Assurance (Software Testing) is rapidly gaining industry recognition as a critical phase in the project life cycle. Until now, the area of Testing as a discipline has lagged behind for various reasons. Failures in large government and private Information Technology projects have raised the awareness of the importance of Quality Assurance in product development and projects.
Recently formed QSP Global has a combined total of more than 55 years of international IT project experience.
We offer our clients the opportunity to de-risk their projects and increase their chances of success.
Project Example:
A "Whole-of-Service" function was recently provided to local government organisation. The Client was facing challenges in terms of IT solutions delivery. Projects were taking longer than planned to complete and were constantly over-budget.
In addition, once the project was deployed into Production, there were usually a series of defects and necessary rectifications requiring costly fixes and impacting end-user morale and the ongoing use of the system.
To assist, we first analysed the processes around all the phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and determined there were no Quality Assurance gateways in place, meaning the projects lacked adherence to any particular methodology.
As part of the solution we:
- implemented PMBOK processes with V-Model methodology embedded;
- created standard test templates for all deliverables:
- introduced Test Management tools; and
- automated test tools within the organisation.
These improvements have had a truly positive impact on the IT Solutions Delivery within the organisation. In fact, at least three similar projects have since been successfully deployed within budget and within the project timeframe.
Our processes and methodologies are now viewed as a "Best Practice" model for other similar organisations and expressions of interest to avail of our services have been received as a direct consequence. These projects were a combination of GIS systems, Web interfaces, Java based applications, and other in-house developed software.
Our consultants are also available to provide services to Telecommunications and SAP based clients.
